Hmmm, 2 lost bets in a row with rugby.  Not used to that to be honest, rugby is usually my banker.  Last second tries or missed opportunities are killing me it seems!

So lets try getting back on winning ways.  These sports betting tips WILL make money.  Don’t forget that the football betting tips from Thursday come into play today.

Today seems Llanelli Scarlets (soon to change their name to ‘just’ The Scarlets) at home Connaught, the perrenial struggelers of the Magners League.  Unfortunately the odds aren’t great for betting on a home victory, which is hardly surprising.  between having a good team out, coming off a great second half against the Newport Gwent Dragons and it being their last ever home league game at the world famous Stradey park it is hard to see anything other than a home win.

Most handicaps have it at Llanelli Scarlets to win by 15.  But using the Paddy Power multiple choice handicap we will be looking at the Scarlets to win by more than 10 points being 4/9.  Connaught are usually a well drilled team, for all that they rarely win, and the Scarlets players may well be nervous, which is what is holding my back from plumping for the beating 15 points handicap.

In the Guiness Premiership there are a number of interesting games, including Leicester vs London Irish and Bath vs Gloucester.  However neither of these are games I would like to call.  What has caught my eye is Harlequins taking on Bristol.  Bristol have been many peoples tips to go down, or be in a relegation battle at the very least, whilst the ‘quins are definitely a team on the up.

I don’t think quins will have to break much of a sweat on this one so I am plumping for them as well.

A double of the two bets on Paddy Power is giving 1.77 odds and I’m going to stick a tenner on it.

Nice to get back to winning ways on the rugby betting. Scarlets were a LOT better than I thought they would be, and connaught far worse.

On the plus side though… the bet came in and my week is back on a profit.
